Assignments have gone out! If you did not receive the e-mail with your assignment, log into the archiveofourown website and look in your sidebar for the link "My Assignments." The assignment for Remix Duello 2010 should be there.

If you still don't have an assignment, please send me an e-mail to remixduello at zvilikestv period net.

You have 1 week from today (i.e. Sept 12, 2010 11:59 p.m. EDT) to drop out because you can't write a remix for the story you've been assigned. You can drop out by logging into the archiveofourown website, clicking the "My Assignments" link, and selecting Default from the actions associated with Remix Duello 2010. In the same place, there's a link for posting to the collection, which you can use to post your story when it it is complete.

If you have any questions, you can send me an e-mail or comment to this entry with them. Comments are screened, but I will unscreen them if I think the questions and answers would be of general use to participants.

Yay, assignments!

I feel like this is such a basic question, on the point of un-asking-ness, but even after poking around at the AO3 and remixduello's profile I couldn't figure it out-- have the deadlines for the remixes been postponed, since we got our assignments later than originally intended? If so, what's the new deadline?

The assignments didn't go out later than intended. They went out one week after signups closed. You'll have six weeks to write your stories and post them, and then two weeks until the stories are revealed, so I don't have to kill myself rounding up pinch hits.

Whoops, my mistake. Sorry. So the specific posting date is still October 10th (and posting date October 24th)?

Your story should be on the archive on October 10th.

The stories will be revealed to everyone on October 24. (If all of the pinchhits are in before then, it could be earlier.)

Could we please have a post for dear remixer letters? I'm still not sure what to put in mine so I'd be curious to know what other participants said.
