Everyone who has not yet turned in a story is now considered in default.

I will send out an email to those who turned in a story with a link to the Melee in my morning. I will open posting to the Melee at that time. Also, there's about five pinch hits I'll be sending out.

Thanks to everyone who turned in their story. You can keep editing it if you need to. Stories will go live on October 24th.

Something that came up in a conversation elsewhere: is this an anonymous exchange? I didn't see anything about anonymity in the FAQ etc but someone else got the impression it was and now I'm curious. Especially since if it is I'll have to prepare myself not to make it really obvious which story is mine :)

No. I decided that instead of having one week to get pinch hits and one week of anonymity, we'd have two weeks for me to get pinch hits, and everything would go live with names on it.

(I've just nominated a story for the Melee, so I guess this is moot, but...) What about nominating crossovers for the Melee?

I had a lot of trouble picking out a story to nominate because a lot of my Doctor Who and/or Torchwood fics are technically crossovers, either between DW/TW or with different fandoms. But it would have been fun to nominate one of those for the melee. I just can't figure out if it would be allowed or not.

And what if I turned in my story *and* volunteered to pinch-hit? Would I be allowed to nominate two stories for the Melee?

I've nominated one single-fandom story for the Melee and I'd be happy to leave it at that, but I'm still interested in the answers.
